Pastoral Care – Finding your way …

Sometimes family, friends or colleagues are not the people you like to confide in when you have something on your mind. That‘s why we‘re here: we have time, we listen and we keep it confidential. You can make an appointment or just drop by.

    Prayer times and Church services

    Worship on Sundays and holidays

Protestant services in German and English are held monthly in the chapel in Terminals 1 and on many feast days of the ecclesiastical year the Catholic and Protestant airport chaplains celebrate joint services in the chapel in Terminal 1.

On Sunday, 19.03.2023, we celebrate services at 4 p.m. an at 5 p.m. in Terminal 1, Departure B, up the stairs to the chapel.

Midday prayer every Friday from 12 to 12.15 p.m.

In Terminal 2, no church services are currently possible there.

A break in the middle of the day. Music, silence, a word from the Bible, a thought to take with you. The midday prayer is an invitation to all those who want to get away from everyday life for a moment or need a “stopover” for the soul before or after a journey.

    Lunch time concerts

From 12 noon to 12.30 p.m. in the airport chapel in Terminal 1

From classical music to Latin jazz, from the choir “Angels on Air” to the Gravity Blues Project - on the first Wednesday of every month we invite you to a special musical experience in the airport chapel. The musicians of the half-hour lunchtime concerts are employees of Fraport AG and Deutsche Lufthansa AG as well as many other renowned artists from the Rhine-Main area.

    Pause for breath

From 12 noon to 12.15 p.m. in the airport chapel in Terminal 1

Take a deep breath, find peace and recharge your batteries. Tai Chi teacher Anja Schneider invites us to let go of everyday life with breathing and movement exercises in the airport chapel. Breathe in and out consciously, feel your own sources of strength - treat yourself to this special “energy shower” for your further day.

    Baptism – Becoming a Christian

You would like to have your child baptized or are interested in becoming a Christian yourself as an adult? To prepare for and to celebrate baptism is possible here at the airport. Come and talk to us. Then we accompany you on your journey to baptism.

    Wedding and blessing – A „yes“ in a special place ...

Say „Yes“ to each other and ask God to bless your covenant: couples can be married in the airport chapels, jubilant couples can celebrate their jubilee, or relationships can be blessed. Give us a call! We would be happy to plan your service with you.

    Mourning – In commemoration

Giving space to grief and remembrance – our airport chaplaincy is here to support you. This can take place in a memorial service with family or colleagues in the chapel. But we also accompany you on your personal path of farewell and mourning. Here talking can do good or rituals can make the incomprehensible comprehensible.
