There is a lot to say about meditation, but the best thing to do is to try it out.
Like most mindfulness exercises, meditation is said to reduce stress, relieve tension and increase general stress resistance. However, it is not just a thinking and relaxation exercise, but also has a positive effect on our emotional world and relationnships through greater serenity.
15 minutes of meditation are offered regularly by Dietmar Schinkel in the airport chapel: every second and fourth Tuesday of the month from noon to 12:15 pm.
About the person
Dietmar Schinkel is a long-standing Fraport employee and member of the Works Council and is currently in the retirement phase of partial retirement.
He has long supported Fraport AGs outreach work at the airport and the Protestant and catholic airport chaplaincies. He is now involved as a volunteer worker in the Protestant airport chaplaincy team. As he has been a meditation and yoga teacher for several years, he would like to give everyone at the airport the opportunity to experience the healing power of "Being here and now".
